Addressing journalists in his palace in Ilesa, Oba Aromolaran  noted  that the octogenarian business mogul and industrialist is diabetic and was treating malaria at the time she was kidnapped.
He stressed that the staff at the foam company, petrol stations and her other business interests have nothing to fall back as their bread winner is under captive. This, he noted has led to unemployment in the area.

He also decried the increase criminality in Ijesaland saying  that hoodlums are found of perpetrating heinous crime in Ijesaland in recent times like the kidnap and eventual murder of Obembe which can best be described as hired killing.
However Oba Aromolaran yesterday declared three-days mourning to be observed by all the three religion leaders-Christian, Muslim and Traditional in Ijesaland for the release of Mrs. Obaleye.

It would also be recalled that, the driver of Obaleye, Alhaji Kamarudeen Adebisi who was shot to death on the spot by the gun carrying men while carrying out the dastard act was yesterday buried.
Adebisi who worked for the octogenarian industrialist popularly called Yinka Oba for about fifteen years before his cruel murder was committed to mother earth according to Islamic injunctions in his residence at Oloruntedo 1 in Ilesa, the town Obaleye based before her abduction.
However one of the Obaleye’s relatives who preferred anonymity said that the abductors of the grandmother have not communicated the family saying that the reason for the act has not been known to the family members as the victim lives an easy life.
To this end, some people who were said to be fans of Obaleye were said to have performed sacrifices to fast-track the release of Obaleye.
Obaleye had finished the day’s work at her company situated at Ilo, Ijebu-Jesa Road in Oriade Local Government Area of the State and was about leaving the premises when angry-looking men of the underworld accosted her vehicle and whisked her away.
