NIGERIA: Commercial sex worker charged to court over allege theft

A commercial sex worker has been charged to court for allegedly stealing  N300,000 from her male ‘customer’.
 
The defendant, a mother of three identified as  Chinyere Anuforo, reportedly ventured into the  business after her husband abandoned her  to cater for her children alone. Although she was said to have learnt catering but did not make anything worthwhile with it.
 
She was slammed with a count charge of stealing ,with the Police prosecutor, Iranus Nnamonu, informing the court that the alleged offense  was  committed at Botife Guest house, Oba Akran avenue, Ikeja, on July 3, 2013
 
The stolen sum , including a Nokia handset according to Nnamonu, belongs to one Chuks Anderson Ogbonnaya of 23A Iyana Ipaja road Lagos, informing that the alleged offense was contrary to section 278 (1) (a) and (b) and punishable under section 285 of the criminal law No 34 Vol 44 laws of Lagos
