“APC hoarding Electricity in Lagos state so people will vote for Buhari” – President Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan has called on all Nigerians and political parties to desist from violence and undemocratic practices while campaigning for the forthcoming elections.

The President made this call at the just concluded 2015 General election sensitization workshop on non-violence in Abuja. According to the the president and presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) “it is not nice for our democracy and the Nation.”

“A political terrain where All Progressive Congress(APC) will intentionally hoard generated and distributable power supply in Lagos for days just because they want to incite Lagosians to Vote against me and PDP but vote for Buhari/APC in the presidential elections, without minding the hardship the people go through as a result of the blackout is unacceptable” he added.

When quizzed by an FNN correspondent on such accusations on the APC at the end of the workshop, president GEJ once again stated Lagosian should ask APC and their leadership in the state why all of a sudden there’s no Light(electricity) in the state and if the people think he his lying they should wait and see how power will be restored to the state after February 14th presidential elections and watch how APC will claim they restored it without Federal Government intervention, probably in a bid for APC to get the votes of people in Lagos for the Governorship and state assembly elections coming up on the 28th of February 2015.

We at FNN are baffled by this statements, hence we join all well meaning residents of Lagos state to call for necessary investigation and subsequently restoration of power to the state with immediate effect while pleading with APC, PDP and all other political parties to have the interest of the masses at heart in the course of thier campaigns.
