Finland is likely to see a fresh deluge of snow this weekend, with up to 20 centimetres of the white stuff on the way.
Colder temperatures are also expected for the north, while further south heavy snowfall is expected to dominate.
Yle meteorologist Pauliina Kuokka forecasts that new snowfall in the south could add up to 20cm to the existing white winter blanket.
"Snowfall could anyway stretch as far as Kainuu and North Ostrobothnia," said Kuokka.
In Lapland the weather is expected to be cold. Temperatures will be between -15 and -25 degrees Celsius, but the temperature could drop as low as -30 in places.
