The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State has criticized the governments of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for performing below expectation.

The comment was made by Lagos PDP Chairman, Tunji Shelle during the party’s General Assembly, Daily Trust reports.

“A new government came in May 2015 and up till now, nothing has happened. We have the history of stolen budget, missing budget, and padded budget. Is that what we are looking for? Is that the change we are looking for?” Shelle said

“I can’t see any spark in the new governor of Lagos State. The only thing he has done that I know is that he has added to BRT buses. No other thing has happened outside this. So if I have to score him, I’ll give him below average,” he added.

The Lagos PDP had earlier called on Ambode to probe his predecessor, Babatunde Fashola for allegedly mismanaging the state’s resources.

Meanwhile, Lagos Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Steve Ayorinde has said that Ambode will do better than Fashola with his policies and achievements.
