The Nigerian government has reportedly reached an agreement with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to enable the extradition of corrupt officials hiding stolen funds in Dubai.

The bilateral agreement was signed today, January 19, 2016, according to a breaking news report by online platform, Sahara Reporters.

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently attending the World Future Energy Summit in the UAE.

Buhari had said, while presenting the 2016 budget proposal to the National Assembly on December 22, 2015, that his government would recover all the money stolen from Nigeria’s coffers “no matter where it is hidden & no matter how long it will take.”
