05012016C KOGI GOVERLokoja—All government offices were under lock and key yesterday in Kogi state as activities were paralysed following the continuation of the strike action embarked upon by the state and local government workers.

The Nigeria Labour Congress on the eve of New Year, embarked on an indefinite strike action to protest none payment of their three months salaries.

Though the state Government held a meeting with the executive of the organised labour, but all entreaties by the government seems to have fallen on deaf ear as the NLC is yet to ask its members to resume work.

Students of Kogi state Polytechnic, Lokoja, who returned to school yesterday with the hope of resuming for the 2015/2016 first semester, were denied access to the school by the security men.

The hope of other students who were already in the school preparing for their third semester make -up exam were also dashed as the security operatives also drove them out in compliance with the strike action.
