Why Sanusi must be tried

SanusiThe former CBN governor’s sack is generating a lot of controversy. Some think Sanusi is a saint, while many think he is a joke and noise maker. It is important we expose this man so that we will all know why we should not be sympathize with him.

This man dresses as a banker, he wears the hat of a terrorists, and talks like a politician. It is time for GEJ to start playing hard politics before few unsaleable individuals destroy his administration. Too many vulgar talks, wild accusations about missing billions. This to me leaves more questions for Sanusi to answer than information he thinks he is giving to the Nigeria public.

Let me ask, all the money Sanusi said was missing, when did he notice that? Or was it a bulk missing from NNPC account or accumulation of missing fund? How come he was not able to discover this when it was still a million, a billion? He had to wait until it amounts to billions?

Is Sanusi an accountant or a petroleum Engineer? I am sure he is an accountant, how come he left his accounting business to edit petroleum ministry? It is important for Sanusi to inform us on the exact periods the money started missing. Better still it would be edifying if we are informed whether this amount is from petroleum sales which money was not deposited or money missing from petroleum account. If it is from petroleum sales, we need to know how many millions of crude barrels that was sold, this is important because a loaded vessel at the point of departure may carry 20million barrels which could reduce to 15million barrels at the point of delivery. This could be caused by depreciation of sulfur content of the crude. If this happened who corrected the initial price? What is the name of the vessel? This information is necessary so that the Nigerian public would know from which administration to hold responsible.

I will give it to GEJ that only in his administration we saw the petroleum ministry giving public account. Rilwan Lukman was petroleum minister for 9 years and there was no account. Jubril Aminu was petroleum minister for 6 years and he never gave any account. IBB till date never gave account of what he did with the twelve billion dollar oil windfall. OBJ was the president and petroleum minister for seven years. He never gave account of this office. Even Buhari and Abdulsallam Abubakar never gave any account of this ministry. In spite of all these Nigeria did not break. Hell did not come upon us. Is it not possible that all the money said to be missing happened during these previous regimes?

It is high time GEJ starts investigating Sanusi. The Jaiz bank, the Islamic bank in Nigeria should be investigated. Who are the directors of this bank. Is it not possible that this bank is giving material support to terrorism? I infer this from the fact that Sanusi, a civil servant donated 100million naira to the family of a fallen terrorist. How many more donations did he make secretly?

I strongly recommend that Lamido Sanusi be investigated. It is also necessary to investigate previous administrations in other to find the missing money if any as Sanusi wants us to believe.
