UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon arrived in Finland Friday for a three-day visit at the invitation of President Tarja Halonen. On the first day of the visit, the two took part in the SuomiAreena forum in Pori for discussions on the issue of sustainable development.

Among those also taking part in the talks is the Chairman of the Board of Nokia and Shell, Jorma Ollila.

On Saturday and Sunday, Ban Ki-moon and his wife will be the guests of President Halonen at the presidential summer residence near Naantali on the south-west coast.

This is Ban’s third visit to Finland. He visited the country in 2009 as UN Secretary General and in 2006 as South Korea’s foreign minister.
