Married woman confesses to sleeping with 3,000 men

A 63-year-old married woman, Marie Calvert, has confessed during an interview with the Guardian that she has had sex with more than 3,000 men in the last 35 years and that her husband, Barry, does not see anything wrong with that.

In the interview, Marie from Sheffield, UK, says she is one of those women who separates love from sex and adores experimenting.

She said she was a one man woman who slept with her husband alone until she was 28 and then, somehow turned bad and decided to act out her fantasy.

She narrates her experiences over the years?

"It was the night I slept with 14 men that I first started to try to work out how many partners I've been with. The truth is, I'm not sure.

My conservative estimate is about 100 guys a year for more than three decades. I'm 63 now and I've slowed down a little – but only a little. Why do I do it?

Having sex isn't something I do for a living, but it is my passion. It's the most enjoyable, exhilarating, satisfying way to spend your time. Some women like yoga, some like badminton. I like carnality.

I am actually married. Barry and I have been together since I was 15 – we wed when I was 19, have two grandchildren, and he's my world.

But neither of us puts sex on a pedestal. We see it for what it is: separate from love. It's not natural to stick with one sexual partner for 60 years.

Life is about experimenting and experiencing, and that's what we do. Barry goes with other women. I don't get jealous because I know he loves me."

19-yr-old student arrested for kidnapping 3-yr-old sibling in Bauchi

Read Time:1 Minute, 26 Second

A 19-year-old Accountancy student of the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, Salisu Salmanu, has been arrested after he connived with seven others to kidnap his three-year-old step-brother, at Kofar Idi area of the state.

In his confession to the police, Salmanu said he wanted to use the N10 million ransom his gang demanded from his father to buy a car.

Paraded alongside Salmanu at the state Police Command Headquarters were his friends and gang members, Imrana Abdullahi (17), Abdullahi Mohammed (19) and Umar Musa (19).

Salmanu lamented his involvement in the crime, saying that greed and selfishness were responsible for his action, as his father, Salmanu Mohammed, the elder brother to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Bala Mohammed, had been taking good care of him and providing for his needs, though there were times he could not meet some of the needs.

Hear him:

"Initially, when we planned the kidnap, I was advised that if we succeeded in getting N10 million, we would buy a car and also have money left to spend. I know that if I demanded such money from my father, he would refuse because he would tell me he has three wives and would have to cater for other children.

So, I planned with my friends to kidnap my step-brother, who is three years old, with the intention that my friends would call him and demand for ransom, after which I would collect my own share if paid.

Honestly, my father meets my needs. He pays my school fees and every other thing I need. It is just greed and selfishness which the devil put in our hearts that led me into this."

Read Time:58 Second

An insane man in India whose name is given as Muthu, has been arrested for committing  an unnatural act of bestiality by raping an injured cow that was laying beside train tracks, the police in that country say.

According to Emirate247, the 55-year-old homeless man used coconut oil as a lubricant to rape the injured cow.

A member of the Blue Cross of India (BCI), an animal welfare group, reports that  Muthu has confessed to the crime and asked for leniency.

BCI officials received a complaint about the wounded cow and came to the scene to investigate. When a volunteer arrived, he was initially confused by seeing Muthu laying next to the cow.

When he took a closer look, he realized that the man was raping the cow and an empty bottle of coconut oil was laying next to him.

On seeing that he had company, Muthu attempted to flee the scene, but was detained by the volunteer until police arrived. The cow was taken to a veterinary hospital, where it has confirmed that the animal had been raped.

The poor animal died in the hospital due to injuries.

‘Our victim’s daughters drove expensive cars’ – Robbery suspect

Read Time:1 Minute, 21 Second

Two members of a four-man armed robbery gang which the police say has been terrorising residents of Isolo, Oshodi and Ikeja in Lagos State, have told the police that they robbed a particular victim because his daughters drove expensive cars and were proud.

Ihenachor Samson and Raphael Ugbekele, were arrested by operatives of the Lagos State Investigative Bureau (SCIB), after successfully carrying out a robbery operation in Bucknor Estate in Isolo.

The gang, according to police report, had attacked the house owned by a prominent lawyer after the gained access into the compound through the back fence and made away with the family's Porsche Chyes SUV, house appliances, plasma television, home theatre, clothing and other valuables.

After the victim made a report to the police, the SCIB swung into action and traced the robbers to their hideout and arrested Samson, who led the police to arrest Raphael.

Speaking to the police during interrogation, Raphael, who said he only returned from Ikoyi prisons after serving a jail term, said:

"It was at Ikoyi prison that I met the two members of the gang. I am the leader of the gang. I was the one that brought the guns that we used for operations.

One of my associates whom I met at Ikoyi prisons gave me the guns. After I returned from prison I began to squat with my cousin in the estate.

I decided to rob the barrister because his daughter’s drove expensive vehicles arrogantly in the neighbourhood.

We were able to carry out the operation successfully because I have watched and monitored them closely."

FG makes clemency plea for Nigerians sentenced to death for drug trafficking in Indonesia

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 30 Second

The Federal government made a move yesterday March 9th to stop the execution of three Nigerians in Indonesia over their involvement in drug trafficking offenses, a crime that attracts death sentence in Indonesia. At a meeting with the Indonesian Ambassador, Harry Purwanto, in Abuja yesterday March 9th, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr Danjuma Sheni, appealed to the Ambassador to help prevail on his government to convert the death sentences to Life imprisonment as well as expedite action on the exchange of prisoners between both countries."We want to appeal to you and through you to your government that this death sentence that may be carried out on Mr Salami any moment from now should be converted to life imprisonment. I am also to use this occasion your Excellency to appeal to you on the need to quickly complete the ongoing exchange of prisoners negotiations that we have with your country. We wish that this be completed on time so that our nationals who may be caught up there would have their opportunity to serve their sentences in Nigeria" he said

In his response, the Indonesian Ambassador says his country still recognizes the death penalty for drug related offenses having made it known that engaging in drug trafficking into Indonesia is risking ones life even before coming into Indonesia
"We still recognize the death penalty in our criminal justice system in some serious crimes including terrorism and Narcotics and some other things. We do apply these executions to those who are adults and we will not apply it on children or pregnant women or mentally ill persons and we have already made this known that doing this trafficking of narcotic in Indonesia is risking your death penalty before even coming into Indonesia" he said.

“God told me I’ll defeat Jonathan and Buhari” – APA Presidential candidate

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 12 Second

In what can be aptly described as an overstatement of immense proportions, an unknown presidential candidate, says God has informed him that he will be the next President of Nigeria.
While the two leading candidates of the PDP and APC, President Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu
Buhari, have dominated the headlines, it’s only right for other presidential aspirants to earn their share of media attention.

Therefore, the Presidential candidate of the African Peoples Alliance, APA, Musa Ayeni, on Monday, March 9, claimed to have received divine assurance that he will win the March 28 election.

While speaking with journalists in Akure, he categorically stated that his entry into the presidential race was nothing but an acquiescence to the directive of God.

Ayeni said he was pretty certain that he would defeat Jonathan and Buhari in the election, provided it is free and fair.

The APA candidate, who is a former deputy governor in the old Ondo State, said Nigerians would be surprised when he emerges the President of the country.

He said: “I came into the race because God directed me to contest the election. God told me categorically that I will succeed President Goodluck Jonathan and I believe what God says, hence, my resolve to contest the forthcoming presidential election.”

Speaking further, he added said “with people like me at the helm of affairs, we can be sure of a better and prosperous Nigeria.”

Ivory Coast’s ‘Iron Lady’ Gbagbo jailed for 20 years

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 9 Second

A court in Ivory Coast on Tuesday sentenced former first lady Simone Gbagbo to a 20-year prison term on charges of “undermining state security” during post-election violence in 2010-2011 that left nearly 3,000 dead.

The wife of former Ivorian president Laurent Gbagbo was also accused of “disturbing public order” and “organising armed gangs” after her husband and his supporters rejected results of the December 2010 presidential elections showing rival Alassane Ouattara had won the contest.

The court “unanimously” condemned her to 20 years in jail, court president Tahirou Dembele said in a statement Tuesday.

Gbagbo’s face hardened as the verdict was read. She was “a little affected” by the sentence, her lawyer Me Rodrigue Dadje told AFP.

“I am ashamed of Ivorian justice,” he said, adding that they would appeal the sentence.
“We showed that impunity in Ivory Coast must not continue,” said prosecutor Soungalo Coulibaly.
Laurent Gbagbo’s son Michel, a French-born dual national from a previous marriage, was also sentenced to five years in prison for his role in the violence.

Once referred to by admirers and opponents alike as Ivory Coast’s “Iron Lady,” Simone Gbagbo has been on trial since January with 82 co-defendants accused of varying degrees of involvement in the deadly unrest.
Prosecutors had asked for a lighter 10-year jail term for the 65-year-old Gbagbo.

“Simone Gbagbo most certainly participated in the composition of armed gangs,” state prosecutor Simon Yabo Odi told the court Tuesday, adding “her men… participated in an insurrectional movement.”
The previous day, the former first lady gave testimony for nearly four hours, confronting witnesses who said they’d seen her distributing arms to youths in Abidjan with flat denials.

She told the court that she “forgives” her accusers, saying: “I have suffered humiliation on humiliation during this trial. But I am ready to forgive… because if we do not forgive, the country faces a crisis worse than what we experienced.”

Nearly 3,000 people were killed in months of post-election violence ultimately halted by the intervention of international forces acting under a UN mandate, and led by former colonial power France.
Affi N’Guessan, the former head of the first couple’s political party, was sentenced to 18 months in jail for his role in the unrest, covered by the two years he has already served in detention.
