Whenever I pour ‘Kain Kain’ on the skull, money begins to flow – Hungry looking Ritualist reveals

0 0
Read Time:4 Minute, 14 Second

A 41-year-old suspected hungry looking cultist, kidnapper and ritualist, Onwuzuruike Nwakaogwu, has confessed to his involvement in a cult group popularly called Dey-Well at Igwuruta village, Ikwerre Local Government area of Rivers State, just as he revealed the identity of the deceased whose skull was found with him as Victoria.

The suspect claimed his efforts at getting money from the skull yielded fruit before his arrest as he said that it used to spew out N10, N20, N50 notes whenever he poured ‘kain kain’ (alcoholic drink) on the skull before reciting incantations. But his efforts at repeating the same act in the presence of Sunday Tribune after alcoholic drink was given him yielded no result as the skull remained as it was without bringing out money.

The Commissioner of Police in State, Mr Tunde Ogunsakin, said that SARS operatives, headed by Tunji Disu, a Chief Superintendent of Police, received an intelligence report on the activities of some ritualists at Igwuruta vilage in April, 2014. He disclosed that the Officer-in- Charge raised a team, led by Inspector David Ameh, and assigned it the duty of gathering more information on the activities of the suspected ritualists.

The commissioner said the operatives were able to get information about the leader of the suspected group in the person of Nwakaogwu in May but efforts to arrest him proved abortive as he was always on the run.

However, the security agents’ moves yielded fruit on Monday, June 23 when a combined team of Metro Intelligence, Metro Storm and Bomb Squad of C4One section went to the suspect’s hideout at Omuwenyi in Igwuruta village and arrested him, Ogunsakin added.

He said that items recovered from Nwakaogwu included a local pump action gun, four live cartridges and human skull surrounded by bitter kola and neatly kept in a corner of his one-room apartment.

“Upon investigation, it was discovered that the skull was that of a lady who was murdered by the suspect and his gang.

The suspect also admitted to using the skull as a medium to get rich, claiming that the skull talked whenever he performed libation on it, and would give him naira notes in N10, N20 and N50 denomination. The suspect also confessed his membership of a brutal cult group ‘Dey-Well’, the police commissioner stated further, saying that investigations were still ongoing.

Speaking with Crime Reports at the premises of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) unit in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nwakaogwu said he went for the head two years after Victoria was killed so that it could yield him money.  The commercial bus driver told Crime Reports: “It is true the police found the human skull in my room. I was the one who kept it there. The gun and live cartridges that they also found in my room belong to me. I am a hunter so I use them for hunting.”

On how he came about the skull, Nwakaogwu said: “I saw it in the bush about two weeks before my arrest. I was in the bush on ‘patrol’ when I came across the skull by luck. I know the lady to whom the skull belonged. Her name was Victoria and she was a tenant in our village. She was from Imo State. I learnt she went to steal cassava in the farm and she was beaten to death, after which she was roasted. The incident occurred over two years ago.

“I was not around on that day but learnt about it when I returned to the village. When I stumbled on the skull two weeks ago, I decided to pick since nobody was in need of it. I took it to my room and kept it there. Anytime I had alcoholic drink, I poured it on the skull, waiting for it to bring money that I could use.

“Since I got the skull, I had been able to get N4,000, but not at once. It used to be in N10, N20, N50 notes. I did not know how and from where the money used to come because I would have locked my door. I usually met the money on the floor in the corner of my room where I kept the skull. I surrounded it with bitter kola so as to prevent ants from destroying it.”

The suspect also confessed further: “I belong to Dey-Well cult group which I joined in 1995. I am an ordinary member. I joined the cult group so that I could get help from other members anytime I had problem. We help one another during ceremonies like burial. That doesn’t stop me from going to church as a Christian. “I started smoking marijuana since five years ago but I am not a kidnapper as is being said. I was once arrested by Elembu Division over a goat stolen by my friend. I had no hand in the stealing.”

U.S. Ambassador visits Emir of Kano

Read Time:1 Minute, 7 Second

The U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, James Entwistle, on Tuesday visited the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, in his palace in Kano

Mr. Entwistle congratulated the Emir on behalf of himself and the American people. He said he believed the new Emir is capable of uniting the people of Kano and Nigeria as a whole.

The Kano Emir thanked Mr. Entwistle and the U.S. government for the visit.

He said he would do his best to unite the people of Kano and Nigerians.

The two men then went into a closed-door meeting.

Mr. Sanusi, the immediate past Governor of Nigeria’s Central Bank, was announced as the Emir of Kano by the state governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, on June 8.

Few months to the end of his tenure as Central Bank chief, Mr. Sanusi was suspended as governor of the bank by Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, in February.

The Bank chief had before then raised allegations that billions of dollars were not being remitted to government account by the state oil company, NNPC.

While investigations into the allegations were ongoing, the president fired the former CBN boss, accusing him of “financial recklessness”.

Mr. Sanusi challenged his removal in court. He however withdrew the case after emerging Emir.

The Nigerian government is yet to congratulate the Emir on his appointment.

9 RAPPERS WHO PRETENDED TO BE RICH, BUT WERE ACTUALLY FLAT BROKE

0 0
Read Time:3 Minute, 59 Second

You see rappers on TV shining like crazy and bragging about how much money they have.  But most of this is a really ugly lie and one that makes black people look as ignorant as any minstrel show in the history of our country.  You’ve seen what rappers say about themselves on TV, but here’s some truth about how your favorite rapper is probably going broke right now:

1) Ludacris was in a custody battle with the mother of his child and revealed in court filings that he earned only $55,000 over the previous year.  That’s hardly the paycheck of a baller.  Yes, that was $55,000 and yes, that was 2013.  Check the link if you don’t believe us.

2) Lil Bow Wow was in court after his Bentley was repossessed.  He revealed that he had only $1,500 in his bank account.  He now has a job on BET’s 106 & Park, but this is probably not enough money to get him out of debt.  According to Celebrity Net Worth, Bow Wow owes $90,000 to the IRS and another $280,000 to a luxury car leasing company.  So, while the depth of his financial distress remains unclear, it’s very clear that he’s living on the edge financially.

3) Xzibit – former host of the MTV show, “Pimp My Ride,” filed bankruptcy after owing over $1 million dollars to the IRS.  He hasn’t had a hit record since Bobby and Whitney were in love with each other.  He has filed bankruptcy twice since 2009.

4) Method Man was arrested for failing to pay taxes back in 2011.   He resolved the matter, but remains in debt.   He also keeps trying to make a comeback, but it’s just not working out.

5) Fat Joe – went to prison after pleading guilty to tax evasion after owing over a million dollars to the IRS.

6) Lil Flip went to court and told the judge that he can’t pay more than $500 per month in child support.  According to most estimates, this means that he isn’t earning more than about $3,000 per month.  He’d be better off collecting trash for a living.

7) Ja Rule went to prison for two years for tax evasion after owing millions to the IRS.  He gets out soon, and will spend the rest of his life paying off the debt.  He does have a cookbook coming out, so maybe that will make him a billionaire.

8) Beanie Sigel – He used to rap next to Jay-Z, but he too went to prison for drug possession and also had serious trouble with the IRS.  Those lawyers can be expensive when you’re committing your life to “keeping it real.”

9) Young Buck from G-Unit went bankrupt and lost his home, forcing him to sell his jewelry and everything else.  If you listen to any of Buck’s songs, you’ll hear that he usually rapped about how much money he had and even made fun of other rappers who’ve gone broke.  Now, he’ll just be making jokes about himself; that’s if anybody ever listens to his music again.

Mark Dice does an interesting video on the topic.  He comes off a bit condescending and maybe even racist, so that’s tough to swallow.  But if you listen to the gist of what he’s saying, he’s speaking quite a bit of truth about the buffoonery and financial irresponsibility that is prevalent in hip-hop music on the radio.  Dice states that many of the artists on television are actors, and that the seemingly authentic lifestyle that young people are emulating is merely a facade.  What’s most pathetic is that many of the artists selling this imagery to teenagers are in their mid to late thirties, so they’re a little too grown to be thinking and dressing like kids.

It’s actually a little sad when you think about it.  Maybe we can do better for the next generation:  Let’s teach our kids how to be true ballers by going to college and running their own businesses, instead of being pawns for white people who think we’re stupid.   We have enough rappers and athletes already.

Nigerian man jailed for 8yrs in the UK for scamming pensioners with fake lottery to fund lavish party lifestyle:

Read Time:1 Minute, 49 Second

A Nigerian man named Frank Onyeachonam, who has been jailed for eight years in the UK for running a lottery scam which targeted vulnerable pensioners, stole from $3,000 to $800,000 and spent the money to fund his lavish lifestyle. the story below.. A fraudster nicknamed 'Fizzy' because of his love of champagne has been jailed for eight years for conning vulnerable pensioners out of their life savings.

Frank Onyeachonam ran the UK end of global lottery scam that was orchestrated from his native Nigeria for seven years to fund his lavish millionaire’s lifestyle.

It involved hundreds of perpetrators in several countries, detectives say. In the UK, 38-year-old Onyeachonam conned pensioners out of sums from £2,000 to £600,000, deliberately targeting his victims because they were potentially vulnerable to his tactics. Continue…

While he bled them of their life savings, Onyeachonam enjoyed a life of fast cars, champagne and designer clothes.

Pictures he posted on Facebook show he spent the cash on Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Armani designer clothes, Rolex watches, Porsches and Maseratis.

He even stuck wads of what look like £50 notes in his Buzz Lightyear toy.
Onyeachonam, of Canning Town, east London, was found guilty at the Old Bailey of conspiracy to defraud following a three-week trial.

Lawrencia Emenyonu, 38, and Bernard Armah, 51, both of Wood Green, north London, were also found guilty of money laundering. All three denied the charges.
Emenyonu was jailed for 18 months while her partner Armah received an eight-month term.
Judge Rebecca Poulet QC, said there had been 'some very serious outcomes' for the victims caught up in the scam.

She told married father-of-two Onyeachonam: 'I judge your culpability to be very high. This was a very well thought out operation, sophisticated in both its planning and its operation.
'Mr Onyeachonam, you targeted these individuals because they were elderly and likely to agree and be tricked by this scam.'

This was demonstrated in the fraudster’s own notes in which he described them as 'crippled, old or poor', she said.

CONFAB:North fails to stop the creation of new states

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 51 Second

The planned showdown between southern and northern delegates at the ongoing National Conference over reshaping the power configuration in the country, turned into an anti-climax, yesterday, after conference chairman, Justice Idris Kutigi ruled against reversion of positions adopted last week.

The planned confrontation followed the mobilisation by Northern delegates for a repeal of the conference’s position on the creation of new states and local governments as a way of balancing the superiority enjoyed by the North. The stage for battle was set as the conference resumed, yesterday, after the opening prayers when Alhaji Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, a delegate from Sokoto State raised objections to the procedures used in adopting the resolution on the creation of new states.

According to him, the procedures were full of errors. While he was still on his feet that the decision on local governments was faulty, the hall was enveloped in shouts “No, no,’ ‘name the page properly. ’With their voices almost being drowned out, some northern delegates hinted on crippling the conference by walking out if their position on state creation and local governments were not met, insisting that the only thing the conference could do was to set the criteria for state creation and not to announce those that should be created. In his contribution, a delegate on the platform of Elder statesmen category, Abdullahi Ohoimah called for the creation of another state from the Central Zone.

He said that the zone was cheated in the list produced last Thursday. A delegate representing North Central Zone, John Dara explained that the proposed Kainji State is composed of emirates from Niger and Kebbi, with the bulk of the new state in Niger, which explains why the proposed state is in the North Central. He added that there will be no additional state from the North Central.

In his contribution, a delegate representing the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Issa Aremu kicked against the proposal for new states, saying that the present ones were not viable, not implementable and would make a mockery of the conference if approved at the end of the day. There were shouts of “Point of Order” which forced Aremu to stop
