Read Time:2 Minute, 33 Second

If the goal of Samsung and La Reve Events for Music Meet Runway is to showcase talents and have a soar-away fun, they achieved their goal as the show was everything it promised and much more. Many had thought the last-minute stunt pulled by Amber Rose would dent the event alas it didn’t. (View the Photos)

The show opened with an exhilarating dance from a group of Macho guys and slim ladies with delicate figures. Their energetic and in-twined moves set the tone for what to come.

It was indeed an electrifying night last week Friday at the Expo Hall in Eko Hotels, and guests made it a point of duty to stress the fashion angle of the show as they kept the venue glittering with dapperly-looking attires.

Banky W, the chief host for the night made a grand entry on stage looking hot in a long sleeved black caftan-like shirt on a jean with one of his collection of hats to go with it. Shortly after, Banky brought on stage Toolz, the celebrity OAP with Beat FM as his co host.  If anyone expected Toolz to be a replacement for Amber Rose, she wasn’t, she was simply herself. She proved that what she could do on air, she could do on stage.

Then the music and fashion collision began with music performances and display of designs by the models going on at the same time on the same runway.

Guest were treated to exciting tunes from Banky W, Sound Sultan, Dr Sid, Wizkid, Sasha, Naeto C, Duncan Mighty, D’ Prince, Shank, Show Dem Camp, and Davido.

Davido, the revelation of the night, made a wonderful first outing on stage; his performance was just like that any upcoming star would wish for.

After an exciting introduction from his producer, Wizkid did not disappoint anyone; he effortlessly connected with the crowd and the models with his songs.

The crowd completely went wild with Dr Sid who dished out his hit and gave a rare dance performance with two dancers to his track, E bami jo.

Sound Sultan joined Banky W on stage to performance the song, Very Good Bad Boy after which Banky gave a good account of himself.

Eyes were almost popping out of the socket when the models started walking out. The girls were hot and right for the job, and the diverse and trendy designs, ranging from lingerie wears to haute couture were just on point courtesy of Tsemeya, Vonne Couture, Meena, Viva La Resistanc e, Toju Foyeh, Babuhska, Grey, Virgos Lounge, Obsidian and Republic Of Foreigner.

The event was not just about models and stars, Samsung, the headline sponsor of the event gave out Galaxy XII and Galaxy tab phones to three lucky winners.

Put together by La Reve Events, ‘Music Meet Runway’ is one show that will not be forgotten in a long while.
