issuance of Electronic Passport (e-passport) by Nigeria ImmigrationÂ
Service (NIS) officials would take place as follows:
Date: 5th. to 6th. of November 2009 in Helsinki and 7th. of NovemberÂ
2009 in Tampere
Place: Sornaisten rantatie 33 D, 3rd Floor.
Time: 15:00hours to 20.00hours each day.
Tampere Place: Old Domus Vainamöisenkatu 11 Tampere.
Payment of USD110 (One hundred and ten USD) only for one e-passportÂ
should be made through the Immigration website www.immigration.gov.ng.Â
You are expected to provide the evidence of payment. The data could beÂ
capture now while payment can be made later. However, the e-passportÂ
can only be produced when payment is made. If you cannot fill the formÂ
online, you meet the immgration officers to process your applicationÂ
manually. In this case you would be required to provide a passportÂ
photograph and payment can be made in cash.
All Nigerians are eligible for the data capture exercise: both holdersÂ
and non-holders of the old passport are expected to take part in theÂ
exercise.
