Mario Balotelli not playing fair in the bedroom

0 0
Read Time:49 Second

It seems AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has a thing for not playing fair. Playboy model Veronica Graf claims she cheated on her beau Saphir Täider with Balotelli, his brother Enoch and another woman – simultaneously. Graf revealed this at the Big Brother House where she’s a contestant.

She also insinuated that she has been courted by Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain recently.

Balotelli, though, is familiar with deception off the field. He has allegedly cheated on his previous girlfriend Raffaela Fico for two years while he was at Manchester City – and it doesn’t end there.

Another former lover, Tabby Brown, also a model, claimed she also left the soccer star for cheating in 2013! Sophie Reade, a former Big Brother winner in the UK also claimed the same thing.

Brother Balotelli definitely has a thing for cheating. Let’s hope his love life won’t show it’s tendencies on the pitch!

Designer claims Naija celebs are “cheapskates

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 57 Second

I see entertainers as celebrities. They dictate what goes on in the fashion world. I see them as people that have made it, rich and affluent and whatever they put on has to be the best…"

According to an article published by Punch, designer for the stars, Durojaiye Owolabi, says some Nigerian celebrities are cheapskates who like free things and don’t pay up debts on time.

Owolabi, who boasts of clients like 2face Idibia, is the owner of Mood’deo International and he has said that his business has suffered because of the attitude of some of the country’s famous citizens. Exonerating celebs such as Tuface and Darey-Art Alade, Owolabi said there are other few artistes who are not in the category  of those who indulge in such attitude.

Here is an excerpt of his statement:

“I see entertainers as celebrities. They dictate what goes on in the fashion world. I see them as people that have made it, rich and affluent and whatever they put on has to be the best.

When I started my outfit, being a celebrity designer is what I targeted because abroad, celebrities are the people that would help you showcase your work. I decided I would
work with a few of them but I was shocked because most of these celebrities like cheap things. I cannot mention names but you would be surprised that most of the big names do not pay on time.

But I have worked with 2face who even paid more than the cost of the item. But people like 2face are scarce in the industry. These celebrities want things for free. This made me change my mind to be doing clothes for the masses because my fashion line is going to end up as an NGO. I thought I could make enough money from being a celebrity designer, then I could turn my business into an NGO for the less privileged kids but things did not work out as I planned.

Sometimes when these celebrities bargain for an attire, you would be shocked and ask yourself if it is the same person that we see on television.”

Hmm. We can’t help but wonder who these celebrities are. Could this be a publicity stunt by Mr Owolabi?

Femi Anikulapo-Kuti, finally opened up on his crashed marriage

0 0
Read Time:3 Minute, 7 Second

Afrobeat maestro, Femi Anikulapo-Kuti, has finally opened up on his crashed marriage. The musician, who is currently in Paris, France where he is due to perform at the biggest African music festival in Europe, spoke to The Sun newspaper and recalled how he met and married Funke, his ex-wife and mother of his first son, Made. He also spoke about other intimate issues. It is vintage Femi – candid, honest and brutally frank!

What has been your experience in collaborating with musicians like Wizkid and the rest?

It is okay.

Did you expect the kind of acceptance ‘Jaiye Jaiye’ is receiving?

Yes, because I know what I put inside. It is like cooking a pot of soup without putting spices that will make it sweet, it will just be an ordinary pot of soup. People might like it because they are hungry to eat. It was already a good music I just put a bit of energy that enhanced creativity and that was easy because I already like the music.

Would you still do more with upcoming Nigerian artistes?

Yes, I will do more. I get a lot of people asking me to do collaboration with them. My problem now is that I have to finish my next album. There are many people that I have already promised. The next person now might just be Nneka, who is asking me to do something for her. I might, it all depends. My next album must come out next year and I most compose 12 to 14 songs in four months time. I have already done a lot in my life to start thinking of new music; it’s impossible right now for me.

Because of Made, maybe you and Funke see to talk about common things but we are shocked to see her sitting next to you at ‘Femi Segun’s burial?

She is the mother of my child and we are very friendly, we even call each other. At least, what I manage to do is not to let the breakup affect Made first of all, and our relationship. Human beings must fight. There must be misunderstanding sometimes. It is now left to us if we are matured enough to overcome these problems. To some people, breakup is so bitter that they end up hating each other. I manage to take my hatred and throw it away, and still respect her as a human being and the mother of my son, and most importantly for the love of my son who needs his mother. If she too understands that he needs his father then we must get rid of our misunderstanding. He was the one at the church who said ‘please sit beside my mother’; I had to oblige him. I could have refused because I went with my girlfriend, so I told my girlfriend not to be annoyed and she understood.

Does it mean you and Funke may come back as husband and wife?

I doubt it. But you never know. You never know what God has in plan for you. What if you say never and something just happens? If they told me she would leave my house one day, I would have said it is impossible. So, if she comes back one day, you never know what can happen. One sickness can hook you down and she might be the person by your bedside, what would happen? I don’t pray for it but you never know what God has in plan for you. So, I am not the one that tempts fate. Right now, I am content, I am happy, we are friendly and my children are also happy.

I’d rather be miserable than be in a relationship… — Yvonne Okoro

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 42 Second

Voluptuous beauty, half-Nigerian, half-Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Okoro, isn’t exactly the kind of damsel you would think is in distress. She has nothing on her to cut that image and it doesn’t appear her career is in danger either. If the beautifully endowed sexy actress should come under any observation, I guess the lots would be in her favour as she seems to be doing better than ever, career wise.

But her post on the Instagram last week placed a huge question mark on the state of mind of the actress. The declaration “ I would rather be lonely and miserable than be in a relationship” wouldn’t pass for any woman who is fulfilled as a woman, even though the career is on the up and up.

It wasn’t until further checks were run on what could have brought about that rather gloomy assertion that the whole scenario began to make sense. It turned out Yvonne’s post was an extract from a previous interview the talented actress granted on relationships.

“If you give me all the attention and make me laugh I think that’s it. I am not in a relationship, not because I don’t want to. Let me correct that, because you go somewhere and people say `oh, I am happy with just my job’ but the truth is nobody is happy being single. Again you hear  `I don’t want to get married now’ I think it’s a lie.

“In my opinion, it’s because your master hasn’t come yet. My mother always says that once your master comes you don’t need anyone to tell you to go, you’ll go. I haven’t had my master yet but the truth of the matter is, because of what I do, I meet people.

“However, it’s so difficult for me to meet single people, it’s so difficult as well to trust people and that is the problem. At a point, you realize that they treated you like a trophy and showed you off because you are on television. The ideal relationship for me would be to hang out with my boyfriend and his friends, who won’t even care that I am an actress.

“At this age, I don’t see the point of dating someone and knowing deep down that it’s not going to go far. I would rather be lonely and miserable than be in a relationship and be happy for a short while; then walk away because I realized this is not the kind of man I want to be with.

I’d rather stay put until my master comes. But what if my master comes at a time I am with somebody, then what, I have to bounce him”.
Going by her post last Wednesday, it does appear, the actress hasn’t found her master yet and this must have bothered her enough to reach out and tell the world she is still single, willing and very much available.

Women Who Bleach Have Inferiority Complex” Nolly Wood Actress Jennifer Eliogu Speaks

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 29 Second

For Jennifer Eliogu, beauty has nothing to do with your complexion.
The Nollywood actress and singer shares her thoughts on the never ending topic – skin bleaching.
Yes you can roll your eyes, because every day, in every house, in every friend group, it is always being discussed.
In an interview with Punch, she shares that the trend may be because of insecurities.

“I cannot speak for others because it depends on the reason why they want to be light-skinned. For some people, it is because they have skin pigmentation or the skin colour is not uniform and they want to change it. I don’t know what their reasons are but I feel that for a dark-skinned person to want to tone their skin colour to be completely fair, it has to do with low self esteem.” she says.

Jennifer who recently premiered the video for her song Fantasy, continues by saying “If you are comfortable with the way you are, then you would not want to change your skin colour. If God wanted you to be fair, he would have made either of your parents fair. He would have made you come from that background but when you are not like that and you want to recreate yourself, then it has to do with self esteem. It is a different thing to want to tone up a little bit and enhance the beauty of your skin but bleaching, changing from dark to fair, I think it has to do with low self esteem. People have the impression that fair people are noticed more. For me, it is not about the colour of your skin but what you have in your head. It is about your behaviour and character.”

Nollywood Celebrity lies that became truths

0 0
Read Time:3 Minute, 49 Second

For one reason or other, our celebrities seem to think they can take us for a ride whenever, however and wherever they want. And that includes telling us all sorts of lies, either to promote their image or just to stick it on our faces that we are plain stupid.

But what they seem to forget is that their innocent public, as stupid as it may appear, doesn’t forget easily. All their deeds, utterances and even silence, most often do not go unrecorded. For reading pleasure, here are some celebrities’ ‘lies’ that became ‘truths’, whether inadvertently or deliberately.

Tiwa Savage and Tee Billz

So many times, Tiwa Savage and her manager, Tee Billz were found kissing and caressing each other. Even the social media was rife with pictures suggesting some romantic dalliances between the duo. Yet the ‘Kele Kele’ crooner vehemently denied any relationship between the two of them insisting they had nothing beyond work relationship.

Having grudgingly swallowed this lie and denial, Nigerians were dumbfounded when videos of their engagement began trending online. Today, most people are upset because they were lied to as the love birds recently got married.

Funke Akindele

So many white lies have escaped the lips of our dear Funke Akindele a.k.a Jenifa, especially about her wedding to her ex-husband, Kehinde Adeola Oloyede popularly known as Kehinde Almaroof. She lied in print about the venue of the much talked about wedding.

While the ceremony was scheduled to hold at The Haven Events Centre, Oba Akinjobi Road, GRA, Ikeja, she circulated an invitation card which read, All Seasons Plaza, Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos as the venue.

Apart from the media, she also misled other invitees, especially those from distant places clad in Aso Ebi, who expressed their regrets and disappointment on finding out the truth. When confronted, Akindele, who spoke through her media aide, blatantly denied knowledge of the card with the fake address.

DBanj

In 2012, when the Koko master premiered his first reality show, Koko Mansion, he made series of promises which till today has remained unfulfilled.

His promise to feature the adjudged winner, which turned out to be Bolanle Okhiria, in the official video of “Fall in Love” is one of those unfulfilled promises. The Koko master was either lying to all or deliberately reneging on his promise as he ended up featuring Nollywood beauty, Genevieve Nnaji, in the video.

Yvonne Nelson

Her recent outburst following her failed romance with Kukere crooner, Iyanya came as a rude shock to many people.

When the going was good, the star actress not only savoured good moments of the romance with the “Your Waist” master; she also denied having an affair with him.

But when the relationship crashed and became an open secret, all she could do was to bow in shame. Suddenly, the lie about not dating the artiste turned out to be the truth.

Tuface Idibia

It may have been that Tuface Idibia had one woman in mind when he wrote and sang ‘African Queen’, but for long, he has been entangled in a love triangle involving not less than three African beauties who have given him children.

He did find this situation funny, hence in an earlier interview, the international star stated thus: “the truth is that marriage is not in my plans. I will never marry. Let me put it bluntly. I don’t want to marry. I am angry.”

Today, Tuface is not only married but had a large society wedding outside the country precisely in Dubai. So, the truth is, either Tu Baba lied about his decision never to marry or he simply had a rethink.

Doris Simon

In March 2012, reports of marital turbulence centred on the family of crossover actress, Doris Simeon when her celebrated filmmaker husband, Daniel Ademinokan allegedly trod the path of infidelity with another top actress, thereby putting the couple’s three-year marriage under tension.

The story made the cover of various newspapers and magazines and equally trended heavily online.

In reaction to the story, the award winning English and Yoruba actress debunked the rumoured crack in her marriage, insisting it was a figment of the peddlers’ imagination, a distraction and a product of idle minds.

Today, Simeon has buried her head in shame, not only because the marriage irretrievably nosedived, but for initially lying and deceiving both the media and her numerous fans about the true state of her marriage.
