The Wife of the Benue State Governor and Chairperson Northern Governor's Wife Forum, Mrs Yemisi Suswam, while presenting Fidelity Bank cheques worth several millions to ten women cooperative groups, enjoined the women to use the money judiciously in growing their businesses.
She said her office took the step to push for the women to have the loan so as to alleviate the suffering women were passing through in the state."Women are the home owners and so if you empower women you are saving a whole family and so what we are doing is to ensure women get a large percentage of the N500 million loan secured by the state government", she said. Mrs Suswam warned the women not to waste the loan on frivolities but put it into ventures that will yield profit. They women expressed joy and thank the governor's wife for her effort in securing the loan for them..
