30-year-old woman Chinese woman Xiang Liujuan threw her son to safety before she was dragged into an escalator and killed.
The sad and horrific incident took place a the Shashi Anliang department store department store in Jingzhou City in central China and the sad event was caught on CCTV.
From the footage, the floor panel of the escalator gave way, but the woman was quick to react as she threw her son to the attendants before the escalator dragged her in.
According to reports, her body was recovered four haters later inside the escalator.
The Los Angeles Times reports that pieces of the escalator were missing before the incident occured.
