Afghan War hero gets top honor

William Swenson (Photo: AP)He risked his life to recover the bodies of fellow soldiers during a battle in Afghanistan. And Tuesday, former U.S. Army captain William Swenson becomes the sixth living recipient of the Medal of Honor.
Swenson will accept the Medal of Honor from President Obama before 250 guests, including Vice President Biden and first lady Michelle Obama, at a White House ceremony Tuesday afternoon. He is the first Army officer to receive the medal since the Vietnam War. The Medal of Honor is the U.S. military's highest valor award.
Swenson's 2009 rescue efforts were caught on tape by a pilot's helmet camera. Here you see Swenson helping Sgt 1st Class Kenneth Westbrook, who had been shot in the throat.
