Nigeria first choice keeper, Vincent EnyeamaThe glut of stars in Cote d’Ivoire’s squad has made it an envy to other countries competing in the African Cup of Nations and many are quick to pick them as favourites for the title.

And as the zero hour approaches swiftly for the quarter final cracker between them and the Eagles, Nigeria first choice keeper, Vincent Enyeama has predicted that the assemblage of stars would not play a role in Sunday’s quarter final.

“No doubt, they are loaded to the tilt with good players. They are the favourites. What people don’t know is that stars don’t play football. We’ll surprise them on Sunday”, Enyeama a glittering star in the Nations Cup said.

The good and sharp reflexes of Enyeama has ensured that Nigeria still remains in the competition as he frequently denied some goal-bound shots from opponents.

Many are also looking up to him to deny Ivoriens a chance of a goal but he reckons that the task would be much.

“They are going to come at us but they will also open themselves for assault. We have a good team and our last victory will bolster us to march ahead. I respect Ivory Coast but we are ready to surprise all on Sunday”, the soft-spoken goaltender said.
