While the House of Representatives debate on the Rivers Assembly crisis was conducted calmly, the Senate experienced a rowdy session on Wednesday during deliberations on the same issue.
Senators were sharply disagreed over a recommendation seeking to direct the Inspector-General of Police to take immediate steps to resolve the differences between Governor of Rivers state, Rotimi Amaechi and the state’s Commissioner of Police.
The lawmakers however condemned the crisis in the Rivers state House of Assembly and asked all parties to restore peace to the state.
