Kenya: Efya for Tusker Malt Lager’s Club 100

Nairobi get ready for Ghana's afro-eclectic songstress Efya. She is set to headline the Tusker Malt 100 Club concert in April 6.

According to her online bio, Efya didn't quite decide to do music professionally until she auditioned and gained national recognition in 2008 as the first runner-up of CharterHouse's Stars Of The Future. Prior to music, she had dabbled in everything from understudying her mother in film production and track sports in high School.

Her emergence on the music scene landed her and the winner, a three-year recording deal with the event company. However they ended up recording only one group debut, Irene & Jane Unveiled, which was released in South Africa only.

Efya has played countless gigs across Nigeria and Ghana, averaging two to three appearances a week and has been featured by artistes in both countries on released songs and future projects which has helped her build a vast following. She is presently putting the finishing touches on her highly anticipated debut studio album, Love Genesis, slated for a first quarter release in 2013.Tusker Malt 100 Club is a community of Tusker Malt consumers, providing them with the opportunity to discover rising African music talent and interact with each other.
