Nollywood loses another gem

Another Nollywood personally, Donald Nzubechukwu Okoli, according to reports has passed away Friday, September 23.

The ace writer, producer and actor according to Nigeriafilms.com passed away in his sleep in the wee hours of Friday.

His death was confirmed by the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Segun Arinze.

As a producer, Donald Nzubechukwu Okoli produced several productions notable among them are The Woman in Me (1&2) released in 2005, Moment of Truth (1&2) (2005), Behind the Plot (1&2), Abuja Top Ladies (1,2&3) released in (2006).

As an Actor, he featured in the 2002 movie, Power of Love (2), Family Battle (1&2) which was released in 2005, Behind the Plot (1&2) released in 2006 and The Barrister.

His death has ignited a public debate, with many wondering why the Nigerian movie industry has lost, and continue to lose, some of its best assets within this short space of time.

Nollywood is yet to come to terms with the deaths of renowned acts, Ashely Nwosu, Sam Loco Efe and recently Geraldine Ekeocha.
