The octogenarian preacher identified as Geoffrey Kabiru was found in his house by his relatives.
The Star Kenya reports that Kabiru had deep cuts on his head, as policemen are suggesting that he could have been hacked to death.
It was gathered that the preacher's body was found by his daughter-in-law.
“She knocked on the door, only to realise it had not been locked from inside as has been the case. When she alerted neighbours, they found the preacher dead,” a family member said.
“We have not established the cause of his death. The the assailants escaped,” he said.
The late Kabiru was a lay leader with the Anglican Church of Kenya in Nyandarua county.
