Italy-based midfielder Sulley Muntari says the Black Stars must comprehensively defeat Uganda on Saturday to win back the fans, confirming that he will travel to Kumasi to support the team to victory against the Cranes.
Despite his suspension, Muntari says there are many way he can also support the Black Stars to help boost their confidence to ensure success in the match against the Ugandans.
“If I am not playing it does not mean I can’t do my part to support the players to give us victory. Victory will not only be for the players but for us all as a nation so why should I not get involved even if I am suspended”.
“Even though I am serving a ban I still think there are many ways I can contribute to help this team and one of it is to be present to throw my support behind them.”
Muntari added that the players must lift up their game to ensure that they secure the much-needed victory to win back the disappointed fans.
“I believe this is the time for the players to make it work by beating Uganda and not making it worse with a poor start” he appealed to his team mates.”
