Civil Defence Arrests Fake Recruiter With Over 900 Million In 50 Accounts

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps- NSCDC, said it has arrested an impersonator of the agency who had defrauded applicants over 100 million Naira.

According to the spokesperson of the Commission, Mr Emmanuel Ekeh, the fraudster, Mr Micheal Ogun, allegedly operates 50 bank accounts and has over 900 million naira, which he has allegedly defrauded from the public.

Ekeh said the alleged fraudster has been handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for further investigation and

He also noted that the agency will not protect any staff or individuals who do illegal businesses in the name of the agency from facing the law.
