For the sake of this interview, what is “Go Swimming” all about?
Go Swimming  is a multifarious organization aimed at curbing  youth restiveness and as well equipping them with basic information on how to get rid of those vices bent on destroying their career and our society at large. Go Swimming is a kind of competition set up to improve and sustain sports, comedy in Nigeria and Africa. The word “Go Swimming” simply means, taking out time to either swimming in the pool or river for a pleasure – getting involved in activities happening around you, the society or a particular scenario.
Why are you introducing it now?
The reason why we are introducing Go Swimming is because we are targeting to bring the youths together with formidable information that would help them pursue their destiny. So it  is not only about swimming, it is about reform. For instance, in today’s Nigeria, many of our youths are into robbery, kidnapping, 419, yahoo yahoo, wasting time watching pornographic sites and criminality everywhere.
We tend to tackle all this through this programme by inviting motivational speakers from all works of life to speak to them for a change of behaviour and for the betterment of the society. It’s an international visionary body of professionals who are divinely inspired, motivated, equipped and commissioned with a unique and special mandate to promote expertise and professionalism through career counselling. We are going to focus more on career counselling, seminars, human development, nation-building and quality education, etc.
Is the programme designed only for the youths?
This competition is open for boys and girls, youths and adults, business men and women. Everyone should  develop interest in this competition and as a means of exercising themselves, catching fun and all that. That is why after asking myself a question; what can I do that would make a real difference?
I discovered that thinking differently and doing things in a unique way helps one to excel.
What does it take to qualify for this competition?
From 18 years and above you are qualified to participate in the competition. Experience is not needed. It’s all about the game. That is what we call, game in the swimming pool.
Is there room for registration before participation?
Yes. Registering for the game is a means we can generate fund for prize winners. You know in Nigeria without registration, you find it difficult to get sponsorship. So, the only way we can get money to fund it is through registration.
The mission?
The mission is to encourage the Nigerian youths with an irresistible entrepreneurial capability for top flight, maximum productivity in careers. Again, to nurture young people who have natural flair for a particular dream, sports, art, etc. And moreover to promote and project the rich cultural heritage of our nation, Nigeria. Youths these days need motivation to exhibit their talents. So, discovering and maximising their God-given talents through search, development and empowerment would help them build legacy for future generations.
However, through the competition, we would celebrate some of those personalities who have  impacted positively on the lives of others particularly youths.
Are you organizing it in Lagos only or other states in the country?
Our intention is to take it to all the states in Nigeria for maximum benefits. But Lagos will be the grand finale where winners   from other states will gather together for prizes.
Your   message to Nigerians on Go Swimming?
Nigerians should know that apart from “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire”, “Project Fame”, “Guilder Ultimate Search”, Big Brother Africa; Maltina  Dance etc. These projects have really affected lives positively. Nigerians need more of these like “Go- Swimming,” for it to go round. That is why we are coming up with this to contribute or make impact in the lives of Nigerian youths and others. So, those who would qualify should Endeavour to participate.
