Saraki’s Aide Meets Political Associates, Sponsors Community Street Lights In Kwara.

SarakiThe representative of Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency at 7th National Assembly and Special Adviser to Nigeria Senate President, Bukola Saraki on Interparliamentary Relation, Hon. Mashood Mustapha today met with political associates from his ward and well wishers across Kwara State during a special dinner organised to discuss and get feedback on the identifiable strategies towards the development of Kwara and Nigeria at Large.

After listening to several issues raised by the people which centered on several expected people's oriented programmes from Kwara state and federal government under President Muhammadu Buhari whose campaign organization he was Kwara Director General, Hon. Mustapha who started by welcoming all his sponsored 2015 Mecca pilgrims led by Alhaji Abdulganeey Jaji, also attributed all glories to Almighty Allah for their safe return amidst several losses and missing of lives at the Holy Land. He proceeded by applauding Kwara state government's responsiveness to people's welfare by sourcing for scarce funds for the settlement of workers' salary arrears despite being one of the states with less number of months owed. He made it known that the problem of unpaid salary which emanated from the allocation shortfall of Jonathan's administration was not peculiar to Kwara state rather, virtually all states of the nation. Being one of the intimate friends of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State, Hon. Mustapha assured members of staff of the state owned tertiary institutions and other agencies of government who are still owed September Salary would soon get paid.

While assuring his political supporters of monumental projects and masses' based initiatives that are worth the sought change through APC from President Muhammadu Buhari, Senate President Bukola Saraki And Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, he disclosed the extension of his sole-sponsored Street Lights project at Mustapha Lane of Alanamu Ward of Kwara state to the full length and breadth of Isale Aluko community (Alanamu Senatorial B). The man who believes in giving back to the society, Hon. Mustapha disclosed that the street lights project, which when completed will be powered by a standby generator, was aimed at illuminating the community at night, thereby curbing several social vices which are supported by darkness. According to him, "Nigeria will be a better haven for all of us if we do not wait for government to do all for us. It is good we give back to the society as individuals not as public office holders."

The dinner which was graced by many political bigwigs in the state was full of prayers for Kwara state and Nigeria in general to witness more peace, harmony and prosperity under the APC led administration.
